Research projects

Dr. Ana Constantin has conducted research projects on assessing creativity, nurturing creativity in teenagers and adults, group learning, group creativity, creative climate and blocks, comparative education, and recently on conflict resolution. She has authored or coauthored 118 articles, papers, chapters, university courses and books. Some of her books - Creativity in Pupils, 1983, Creativity for Students and Teachers, 2004, and Interpersonal Conflict, 2004 - are referral books for teachers, undergraduate and graduate students.

Ana Constantin translated into Romanian 7 works, such as Everyone Can Win (190 pp.), a book on resolving conflicts, by Helena Cornelius and Shoshana Faire, Australia.

She has been the scientific reporter from Romania, for the Global Creativity, 1996-2004, annual reports edited by Morris Stein, The American Creativity Association, and U.S.A.

Since 1985, Ana Constantin has conducted courses in higher education and refresher courses for teachers in educational sciences, educational psychology, psychology of creativity, education of creativity and - lately – on conflict resolution (a new subject in higher education in Romania).

Ana Constantin was carried out 20 projects, either as a team member or a project director; 7 of them were financed by the international organizations, such as Open Society Foundation (The Research Support Scheme programme) or European Union (The PHARE and ACCES programmes).

(http://rss.archives.ceu.hu/archive/00001135/01/143.pdf). The project has been evaluated as “excellent”. Several studies and a chapter in a book have been published, as a result of this project.

Dr. Constantin has presented some programs in evaluating and developing creativity, and also in resolving conflicts in organizations. Her former clients include eleven companies and educational institutions, where she has offered training for students, teachers and for staff in industrial organizations.

She has hosted a series of radio and national television lectures on creativity.

In 1993 she was accredited by the Center for Studies in Creativity, Buffalo, NY, to provide lectures, training and consulting in creative problem solving or related areas. She is a certified user of the Kirton Adaptive-Innovative test (KAI).

Ana Constantin was awarded by the “National Institute of Inventica” with the gold medal "H. Coandă" for her works in creativity.
