Description of the laboratory

Laboratory for fundamental and applied research in special education is centered on the development of new research topics in „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University from Iași, about education, rehabilitation, school integration and social inclusion of children/persons with special needs. Research topics will involve teachers and experts in education sciences, PhD students, MA students and other researches which are interested in special education and inclusive education applied in Romanian educational system and in other countries. The principal research directions are:

  • Strategies, methods and techniques adapted for educational process of children diversity from schools: mental, sensorial and motric disabilities, learning disabilities, speech disorders, behavioral disorders;
  • Developing of interdisciplinary teams for therapy and rehabilitation children with disabilities and developmental disorders;
  • Elaboration and application of research-action programs for integration and inclusion support process of children with special educational needs.
  • Application of new access technologies and support technologies in schools and social environments for persons with special needs.
