Diferenţe de gen în formarea impresiilor despre oamenii politici

Rezumat: Acest studiu a avut ca scop studierea diferenţelor de gen în ceea ce priveşte perceperea oamenilor politici. Mai specific, am examinat dacă formarea impresiei despre oamenii politici ca persoane‑ţintă este influenţată de tipul de informaţii transmise despre aceştia în interacţiune cu genul. La studiu au participat studenţi de la nivel de licenţă (N = 180; 88 de gen masculin şi 90 de gen feminin), pe bază de voluntariat. Pentru verificarea ipotezei a fost utilizat un plan experimental de tipul 3 (genul persoanei‑ţintă: feminin, masculin versus de control) × 2 (tip de informaţii: pozitive versus negative). După manipulare, participanţii au avut sarcina de a evalua persoana‑ţintă folosind o listă de trăsături tipic feminine şi masculine. A apărut un efect de interacţiune între tipul de informaţii şi genul persoanei‑ţintă asupra evaluării persoanei‑ţintă. De asemenea, rezultatele au indicat faptul că participanţii şi‑au format o impresie mai favorabilă despre politicienii de gen masculin comparativ cu impresia formată despre politicienii de gen feminin. Implicaţiile rezultatelor în domeniul politic sunt discutate.

Gender differences in the formation of the perception on politicians
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to explore the gender differences regarding the way politicians are perceived. Specifically, we explored if the people’s impression formation about political persons as targets were influenced by the type of information about them and their gender. A total of 180 students voluntary participated at this study (N = 180; 88 boys and 90 girls). To test our hypothesis, a 3 (target’s gender: feminine, masculine vs. control condition) × 2 (type of information: positive vs. negative) experimental design was used. After experimental manipulation, the participants evaluated the target person using a list of feminine and masculine traits. There was an interaction effect of type of information and gender on the target persons’ evaluation. Our data also showed that participants had a more favourable impression about masculine politicians than
about feminine politicians. The implications of these findings in political field were discussed.

Différences de genre dans la formation d’impressions sur les hommes politiques
Résumé: L’objectif de cette étude est d’explorer les différences entre les genres dans la perception des professionnels de la politique, hommes et femmes. Au total, 180 étudiants volontaires ont participé à cette étude (88 garçons et 90 filles). Pour tester notre hypothèse, nous avons utilisé un modèle expérimental de type 3 (sexe de la personne cible, féminin, masculin vs condition de contrôle) × 2 (type d’information: positif vs négatif). Après la manipulation expérimentale, les participants
à l’étude ont évalué la personne «cible» en utilisant une liste de traits féminins et masculins. Nous avons obtenu un effet d’interaction entre le type d’information et le genre sur l’évaluation des personnes «cibles». Nos données ont montré que les participants avaient une impression plus favorable des hommes politiques que des femmes politiques. Les conséquences de ces résultats dans le domaine de la politique ont fait l’objet de discussions dans les conclusions de l’étude.
