In literature, individuals, families and communities are seen differently. If the field of individual resilience is pretty clear, the one for family resilience has a lot of gaps. The specific definition of the protective and risk factors needs to be clarified. In this study we try to identify the connection between marital satisfaction and family resilience. We used the self-efficacy to try to explain how this concept mediates the link between marital satisfaction and family resilience. The results also show us that gender has a moderation effect in this process, in the sense that self-efficacy mediates the link between couple satisfaction and family resilience only for women.
