Doctoral seminars
The Doctoral Seminars are designed to give PhD students the opportunity to present their research ideas and accomplishments to their colleagues for feedback and optimization suggestions. For PhD students, participation in these seminars is an excellent means of learning, both in terms of how to present and argue a research design and in terms of the standards of scientific research.
Within the Doctoral Seminars students can prepare presentations of papers, reports, research projects (presentation of the theoretical model for substantiating the research idea, research design, preliminary data, preliminary article, final thesis, etc.). Within the past Doctoral Seminars, there were scheduled and will continue to be scheduled workshops on topics such as research methodology and advanced statistics, depending on the needs of doctoral students.
It is recommended that each doctoral student to give at least one presentation per year during these seminars. For the participation with presentation, the doctoral students receive 5 credits and for the participation without paper they receive 2 credits according to the Regulation for granting credits for doctoral students.
Alumni Doctoral Seminars
The Alumni Doctoral Seminars aim to facilitate the dialogue between former PhD students (Alumni) and current PhD students so that the latter can benefit from the advice, experience and even support of those who have already gone through the process of developing a dissertation. For the participation in the Alumni-Doc Meetings, the doctoral students receive 2 credits according to the Regulation for granting credits for doctoral students.
The two types of activities are organized weekly, alternately, except for holidays and the exams session.
The presence of doctoral students in these activities is quantified by granting credits according to the provisions of the Regulation for granting credits for doctoral students.
