Adrian-Vicenţiu Labăr, Florin-Vasile Frumos

Previous studies which attempted to analyze psychometric qualities of The Scales for Rating Behavioral Characteristics of Superior Students (SRBCSS) resulted in inconclusive outcomes, especially about their factorial structure. This study proposes a version of SRBCSS used for self-assessment by gifted children. A sample of 180 students, 96 Olympics and 84 non-Olympics, 76 boys and 104 girls, have completed the Romanian version of SRBCSS (Renzulli, Smith, White, Callahan & Hartman, 1976) for self-assessment and Needs Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ, Heckert, 1999). The results showed that the scales SRBCSS for self-assessment have a good validity and fidelity on the Romanian sample.
